Why does SpeedRank claim that it is 'Looking for Surfing Activity'?
SpeedRank does not start reporting performance information until after you start surfing. Even after you've viewed a page or two, SpeedRank will not display a reading until it has built an acceptable baseline value.
If an excessive amount of time passes and SpeedRank is still in its searching and analysis phase, you should contact us for further technical support information.


Why does SpeedRank tell me I need the 'webHancer Customer Companion'?
SpeedRank consists of two separate applications. One is the SpeedRank graphical user interface that displays performance information, the other is the Customer Companion that collects data and analyzes the performance of the Internet. You need both components in order to see the performance of your connection.
You may have accidentally or unintentionally removed the Customer Companion component. If so, you can download and install it again.


Does SpeedRank compromise my privacy?
SpeedRank in no way compromises your privacy. It does not transmit any personal information. Please read our comprehensive privacy policy to see how we respect your privacy.


Is SpeedRank Spyware/Adware?
SpeedRank is neither spyware nor adware. SpeedRank does not serve any ads or generate any popups. SpeedRank does collect and transmit performance statistics about the web pages you visit, however it does not send any information that might identify you or transmit any private information.


Does SpeedRank slow my Internet connection down?
No, SpeedRank transparently measures the performance of your connection, and it does not effect it in any way. You'll still enjoy the same speed you had before, plus you'll be able to identify any problems that might arise.
